We offer Red Cross Recertification courses! Please make sure you check your current certification to make sure you’re available for recertification

Recertification Requirements

  • Recertification can only be done if the certification is still current*
  • We CANNOT re-certify a different provider’s first aid certification*
  • We CAN re-certify a different providers CPR certification
  • You may only re-certify a Standard First Aid course once*
  • There is NO re-certification for Emergency First Aid or Marine First Aid
  • You are required to bring your certification card with you to the course

Course Description

Course teaching the skills needed to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and babies depending on the level of CPR chosen.

Course Description

Basic two-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for the marine/fishing industry. Course meets the requirements of Transport Canada outlined in Transport Publication (TP) 13008. Designed for any person who wants to obtain a rating certificate, endorsement, or a Master or Chief Mate limited certification, and for those providing first aid on board a vessel engaged on a near-coastal voyage, class 2, or on a vessel on sheltered waters.

  • Resuscitation techniques (including CPR and AED for adult, child and infant)

Blended Courses

Blended delivery relies on a combination of in-class, face-to-face instruction with online instruction. Theory and information is conveyed to participants outside of the classroom through an online component, which allows for the in-class component to concentrate on skill development and application of theory.

Benefits of Blended Learning

Some people may find that committing to a full course doesn’t work with their schedule. The blended course option makes it easier to schedule into everyone’s busy lives.

BLS Courses

$90 + HST

Basic Life Support (BLS) has replaced what was previously known as HCP. This course is geared toward in-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, medical and dental professionals.
Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professionals in a fire service, rescue team, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski patrol.

Please note:

  • This certification is valid for 1 year only

Options:

BLS can be done as a 4 hour stand alone course

Airway Management and Oxygen Theory are add-ons that might be required or of interest.  Each add on can be selected at checkout and are an additional $10 per add on.

Our youth programs now include material for kids as young as 9 years old!

Babysitting

7-8 hour course for youth 11 – 15 years old

  • How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
  • How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours
  • Information on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
  • How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
  • How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours
  • First aid and CPR skills
  • The business of babysitting

Stay Safe! Program

5-6 hour course for kids 9 – 11 years old

Pre-requisite: Completion of grade 3

  • The importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself
  • The importance of setting and following safety rules when on your own
  • How to stay safe at home and within the community, how to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations (e.g., inclement weather, strangers, and unanticipated visits)
  • Basic first aid skills
